Packaging that makes the product clear
Packaging has to attract attention, explain the product and work across a range. Wetton&Co helps food, drink and consumer brands translate their identity into a considered packaging system.
From the brand to the shelf
We start with the product, audience and route to market. That gives the design a clear purpose: what shoppers should notice first, how they distinguish variants and how the range belongs together.
What can the project include?
- Range review: audience, competitors, formats and existing brand assets.
- Creative direction: visual concepts and a clear information hierarchy.
- Range development: colour, typography and variant differentiation across agreed products.
- Artwork handover: final design files prepared to the agreed supplier specifications.
The proposal defines the number of products, formats, revisions and production deliverables. Structural design, photography, illustration and copy can be discussed as part of the brief. Product claims, legal copy and regulatory approval remain subject to your specialist sign-off.
Project spotlight: English Cheesecake Company
The brief was to elevate a frozen cheesecake range ahead of a retail launch: premium presentation, clear flavour recognition and an indulgent feel. The project page shows the packaging work and its visual treatment.

How we approach a range
- Brief: confirm products, dimensions, audience, channels and supplier requirements.
- Design: explore the visual hierarchy and how the range fits together.
- Develop: apply the chosen direction to agreed variants and formats.
- Prepare: check artwork against supplied specifications and coordinate the agreed handover.
Packaging questions
Can you refresh an existing range?
Yes. Share your current packs and explain what needs to improve. We can assess whether to retain, simplify or rethink the existing system.
What do you need for a quote?
A product list, packaging formats, available cutter guides, brand assets, required copy, budget and target launch date. Tell us whether your printer or manufacturer is already appointed.
Can you create the brand as well?
Yes. Our brand strategy and identity service can establish the visual foundations before packaging development.
Does packaging design guarantee sales growth?
No. Packaging is one part of the customer experience. Distribution, price, product quality and marketing also influence sales. We agree design objectives without promising an unsupported commercial result.
